About

grew up in Northern Ontario, with a strong connection to my Finnish ancestry, one that values being out on the land and water, wildcrafting, and serenity and silence. I love my dogs and cat, flowers, all water bodies (rivers, waterfalls, lakes…) photography, paddling (white-water canoeing or sea kayaking), Lake Superior (‘Gichigami’ in Anishinabe), travelling, and being on top of mountains! I’m keen to explore and connect with the many plant, animal and human communities as onne of my goals in life is finding the beauty in everything, and the joy in life.

Vibrational Essences are an amazing inspiration in my life, as they have tremendous healing potential and are a true gift from Mother Earth. Each essence has a vibrational signature and works to aid healing and balance at a deep emotional level. When I took the Fireweed Combination essence for a month, I felt an intracellular tingling, a releasing of trauma from my cells that had been there for over twenty years. Compared to a similiar experience and sensation after several months of massage school that brought up the same effect, I saw that the essences created a huge shift in only a month!

In the past few years I have immersed myself in the study of Energy Healing through the Neo Shamanic Society. For the most part through online learning and in February 2023, I attended a live immersion in The Netherlands with fellow students from around the world. It was life-changing and incredible, where deep personal transformation took place, as well as learning many new techniques and protocols, and receiving new codes. I also travelled to Egypt in 2022 to be a part of the Egypt Trinity Tour and that was an experience of a lifetime (or lifetimes!). I continued my learning with plant medicine in a retreat in Saint Lucia in 2025, which was deeply healing on a personal level.

Thank you to the Guides and Teachers

To the water, the plants and flowers, devas and elementals, my Mother, my Father, both ancestral lines, and my celestial team.

The Indigenous teachers and nations who have shared teachings and stories and guided my lived experiences: Saami, Anishnabe, Gwichin, Navajo, Tlingit, and Tutchone. I have lived in many places, but these are the traditional territories where I connected to the land and water in significant ways. Every Elder, every trapper and artisan, anyone from Chief of the nation to the little ones whose diapers I changed, and each and every youth, taught so much – the humour, stories, challenges and resilience, the deep knowing of belonging to a place.

My bodywork and flower essence teachers and friends, notably Steve Johnson (Alaskan Essences), Bev Gray (Aroma Borealis & Boreal Herbal -Yukon), Sabina Petitt (Pacific Essences), and Ruth Toldeo Altschuler (Essence Circles). Each of the above have truly had a profound effect on me, shared many teachings and have been huge cheerleaders as I emerged onto this path.

Steve often taught about the essences through story, and I was always mesmerized by the co-creation and attunement with the plant and its overlighting Soul. I remember so many essences from his repertory because of these stories. The first training in Homer, Alaska was beyond anything I’d ever experienced, the place was magical, a large group of mainly Brazilian women filled the week with incredible joy and laughter. Honestly for me it was emotionally and spiritually a baptismal moment when we touched our Third Eye with the remainder of the Forget-Me-Not essence water.

I am grateful that I got to meet Steve and learn from him in a couple courses before he passed on, and I am grateful to my current teachers when we can meet in person or online! When someone is no longer on the Earth Plane, any of us Flower Essence Therapists all over the world can tune in and receive guidance from their Spirit.

Kristi, a teacher in massage school in Santa Fe, New Mexico would often start a class with a plant hydrosol for each of us students to try. I remember Blue Lotus, and in my mouth and throat, I could see with inner vision a blue sphere and I offered that it was the first time I could taste a colour! It was also one of the first times where the gift of inner sight became known to me. It was the first doorway into the world beyond essential oils, through the hydrosols, leading me to pick up my first bottle of flower essences at a little health store in Pine, Arizona in 2008.

In high school, I started learning a modality of energy healing called Therapeutic Touch, and was very interested in Naturopathy. At the end of university, I took a formal Birth Doula Course, and several years later took another Doula course in Whitehorse, Yukon, after which I was present for several women and supported them during pregnancy and their birthing experiences. After massage school, I trained in various bodywork modalities, as well as in Somatic Experiencing, Hakomi, yoga immersions, and have done work with and received many sessions in energy healing, Shamanic sessions, and with a dear friend who is a gifted Psychic Medium.

In working in the field for over 19 years, I owe a very big thank you to the clients that put their trust in me, and I humbly recognize how so many have been teachers along the way. I’ve always described massage therapy as a practice with such deep learning that has made me a better human along the way – the soul lessons have been incredible. I have such deep and profound respect and love for flower essences, and all vibrational essences, and trust that their intelligence connects in ways beyond human knowing.

Thank you to the Stars, the Water and our beautiful Mother Earth.

We are from you, we are of you, and we will return to you.
